What RecellUsa collects when you ask us for a quote, why we hold it, and how long it stays.

Who we are
1.1RecellUsa is an independent wholesale distributor of graded Apple hardware, incorporated in the United States and trading with businesses only. This site is operated by RecellUsa; we are the controller of the personal data described below.
1.2We do not sell to consumers, and nothing on this site is intended for anyone acting outside a trade or profession.

What we collect
2.1Almost everything we hold about you is something you typed. When you submit a request for quote we record the company details, the contact details and the shipping intent you entered on that form, together with the configurations and quantities on your request list.
2.2Two things are collected without you typing them, and both are narrow:
- A salted, one-way hash of the IP address the submission came from. We never store the address itself. The hash exists only so that a flood of submissions from one source can be recognized and slowed.
- The browser user-agent string sent with the submission, truncated, for the same purpose.

What we do not collect
3.1This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no third-party analytics, and does not track you across other websites. Your theme preference and your request list are held in your own browser's local storage and are never transmitted to us until you choose to submit a request.
3.2We do not ask for, and cannot accept, payment card details. There is no checkout on this site.

Why we hold it
4.1To answer the request you sent us. That means pricing it against live allocation, confirming availability, and contacting you through the channel you told us you prefer.
4.2To keep a record of what was asked for and when, because a quotation is a commercial document and both sides benefit from it being reconstructable.
4.3To protect the request form from automated abuse, which is the sole purpose of the hashed address described in clause 2.

Who sees it
5.1RecellUsa staff who work on your enquiry. Our email provider, which transmits the confirmation to you and the notification to our trade desk. Our hosting and database providers, which store the record.
5.2We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it
6.1Enquiry records are retained for as long as the commercial relationship is live and for a period afterwards consistent with our tax and accounting obligations.
6.2Hashed submission addresses are retained only as long as they are useful for rate limiting, and are not linked to any identity we hold.

Your rights
7.1Depending on where you are established, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, or to object to our processing it.
7.2Write to legal@recellusa.com and we will respond. We may need to verify that the request comes from the company the data belongs to before we act on it, which is the same reason a signed-in buyer account, once available, is the safer way to manage this.

Changes
8.1We will update this page when what we do changes, and the date at the top will move with it. Where a change materially affects an active enquiry we will say so directly rather than relying on you re-reading this page.
